As chair of the Regents Pensioners Association and hall i would welcome a wider involvement. We need many more younger, active people to develop the opportunities presented not only in the Pensioners Hall but in the other premises that are underused in our community or those that are used but without taking any account of the interests and wishes of local residents.

I hope the meeting is well supported.

  2. Helen Pineo says:

This looks like a great community initiative. I live just inside the neighbourhood border near Haggerston park and definitely plan to attend on the 15th to see what I can do to help.

  3. polly richards says:

This is a great idea and long over-due. I will be there on the 15th and will try and galvanise some people from London Fields Eastside to attend too!

  4. Mark Edwards says:

This will be a great platform for the different local groups around the london feilds area to meet and exchange ideas, It should encourage the council to consult with us much better than it has been so far.

  5. Stephen Selby says:

Let us now begin to look after the local needs of our children, and our childrens’ children, hoping some of them will ever be able afford to live in this very special place. Perhaps we can make this their Utopia as well as ours.

  6. Ella Kirby says:

I love the idea, although I was very disappointed that some residents were given only a day’s notice of this meeting taking place. For this to be a success, it is important for every household to be properly enfranchised and given opportunity to participate. Maybe finding the most effective ways to communicate with and receive contribution from all sectors of the London Fields Community could be considered as a core objective for the council.

  7. Alma says:

I missed this meeting but would like to get involved. Is there a mailing list? How can we participate?
    Thanks
